Skagit Valley Hospital Implements CAUTI Prevention Program

As part of our Medicare Quality Improvement Organization contract, Qualis Health helps Idaho and Washington hospitals put evidence-based practices to work in reducing the incidence of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI). At Skagit Valley Hospital, after implementing a CAUTI prevention program, rates have remarkably dropped from approximately six to seven per month in February of 2011 to zero per month from December 2012 to April 2012.
