Jeffrey A. Partnow, MD

Jeffrey A. Partnow, MD, is an hospitalist/internist in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he has lived since 1974. He has been a member of the Qualis Health Board of Directors since 1989, and was board chair during 2003. He was a member of the Alaska State Medical Board from 1976-1988, and served as chairman for five years. He served as president of the Alaska Chapter of the American Heart Association, and he has served on various boards and committees in Fairbanks and at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

He graduated from Brown University and Harvard Medical School and completed internal medicine training on the Harvard Medical Service at Boston City Hospital and the University of California San Francisco. He served in the Army as chief of medicine and chief of clinics at Bassett Army Hospital in Fairbanks.

He was in the private practice of internal medicine in Fairbanks from 1976-2002, and in 2002 helped to found Northern Hospital Associates, Alaska's first hospitalist group. He also admits to a fascination with snow plows and photography.
