William M. McKee, MD, FACP
William McKee, MD, has been a member of the Qualis Health Board of Directors since 1988, and served as chairman from 1998 to 2002.
Although retired from practice as an internist, McKee was medical director of Providence Seattle Medical Center from 1987 to 1995, associate clinical coordinator for Qualis Health (then known as PRO-West), and medical director for utilization/case management services for Qualis Health.
In addition, he was a staff internist with the Wenatchee Valley Clinic from 1967 to 1987, medical director of that clinic’s HMO from 1985 to 1987, as well as a member and chairman of the clinic board of directors. From 1984 to 2001, McKee was clinical professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
McKee earned his MD degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed his internship and residency in Seattle hospitals. He also completed a fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Washington.
He has published numerous research papers in medical journals, and served on the boards of various organizations such as Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska, Hope Heart Institute, Northwest Kidney Center and Health Plus.
