Lori Rice, RN, CPUR, CCM is the Vice President of Workers’ Compensation/Private Services for Qualis Health, an independent, private, nonprofit healthcare quality improvement and care management organization headquartered in Seattle, Washington. She provides executive leadership on all matters regarding care management operations and client oversight for all workers' compensation and private contracts and programs, including defining, developing and directing goals and programs, as well as monitoring and implementing policies regarding accreditation and regulatory standards.
Qualis Health’s services include support of quality and safety initiatives, care management, health information technology, and business process improvement consulting and health services research and evaluation. Qualis Health holds Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) contracts in two states, contracts with five state Medicaid agencies and services many other public and private sector organizations.
Prior to joining Qualis Health, Ms. Rice held management positions in utilization and medical review at several healthcare organizations in the Southeast. She was the Director of Workers’ Compensation at Mississippi Physicians Care Network, the Utilization Management Consultant/RN at Rehab Review, Inc. in Mississippi, a Medical Case Manager/RN at Integrity Health Plan of Mississippi, and an RN/Professional Care Coordinator/Charge Nurse at Baptist Medical Center in Arkansas.
Ms. Rice holds an Associate of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Washington, currently practicing on a per diem basis. In addition, she is a Certified Professional in Utilization Review and a Certified Case Manager.
