Seattle – Qualis Health is soliciting nominations for its annual Award of Excellence in Healthcare Quality. The award program is designed to recognize organizations in Washington that have made significant contributions to the improvement of healthcare by making innovative, measurable improvements in care.
“As an organization committed to improving the quality of healthcare delivery and health outcomes, Qualis Health strives to recognize pioneers in healthcare who are making a remarkable difference,” said Jonathan R. Sugarman, MD, MPH, Qualis Health’s president and chief executive officer.
Each year, outstanding healthcare organizations across the state succeed in improving the quality of care for thousands of patients. This year’s award winners will be announced March 22, 2007, at the Washington Patient Safety Coalition’s Northwest Conference on Patient Safety at the Doubletree Hotel Seattle Airport.
Qualis Health encourages providers to nominate home health agencies, nursing homes, physician practices, and hospitals throughout Washington that have demonstrated measurable improvements in such areas as wound care, quality of life, management of congestive heart failure, implementation of electronic medical records and more.
