Seattle – The Immunization Action Coalition of Washington (IACW) awarded Qualis Health its Collaborator Award this past Tuesday. The IACW is a private/public partnership dedicated to ensuring children and adults have access to immunization. Qualis Health was recognized for its commitment to enhance and improve the delivery of immunization services to Washington families.
Dr. Les Barnette, Nancy West, RN, and Michelle O’Neill, PhD, MBA, joined Qualis President and CEO Jonathan Sugarman, MD, MPH, to accept the award on behalf of Qualis Health at the Northwest Immunization Conference Coalition Awards Luncheon held in Portland.
“We are proud to receive this distinguished recognition for our work,” said Sugarman. “Qualis Health greatly values the dedication that Dr. Barnette and Ms. West have shown towards our healthcare quality improvement mission. Through their contributions to the coalition’s work we are so much closer to reaching our goals.”
The IACW was founded in 1994 to increase public awareness about the importance of immunization in preventing disability, disease, and death. The organization is comprised of more than 200 public and private members in Washington. The IACW, a program of WithinReach, established the Collaborator Award for the first time this year to recognize individuals and groups who have helped communities promote, educate, and increase immunization levels.
Cynthia Shurtleff, IACW chair, praised Qualis Health for its commitment to working with the coalition.
