Overview

The Alabama Medicaid Agency (AMA) pays for medical and long-term care services for those who meet certain income requirements. It is a state and federally funded program that covers costs for:

• Pregnant women
• Children
• Certain people on Medicare
• Disabled individuals
• Nursing home residents
