Do No Harm

The 5 Million Lives Campaign is a nationwide initiative to protect hospital patients from five million incidents of harm during 2006-2008. The campaign promotes the adoption of specific practices shown to save lives and reduce patient injuries.

The campaign builds upon the success of the 100,000 Lives Campaign in which 3,100 participating facilities (representing 75% of U.S. hospital beds) avoided unnecessary deaths by implementing six evidence-based interventions, along with other worthy improvement initiatives.

Qualis Health supports Idaho and Washington hospitals’ active participation in the 5 Million Lives Campaign. Approximately one-third of Idaho hospitals and all of Washington's are involved. For the latest news, please see the campaign website.
