NNHIC helping hands photo The Project
In the yearlong National Nursing Home Improvement Collaborative NNHIC), Qualis Health-led teams and staff from nursing homes, nursing home organizations and Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) across the country worked together on a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) sponsored Collaborative.

NNHIC focused on finding innovative methods to improve nursing home systems for prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.

The project also prepared QIOs and multi-building entity nursing home organizations participating as Quality Improvement Organization Peers (QIOPs) across the nation to conduct their own regional Collaboratives with nursing homes in their own state or territory.
