Katie Verd, MA, CPHIT, WIREC Health IT Consultant, discusses optimal communications strategies during your implementation. She'll give you valuable tips for standardizing communications with both staff and patients.

Helen Stroebel, RN, MPH, CPHIT, WIREC Health IT Consultant, delves into the principles you need to consider to make your change management sustainable in the long run.

About the Speakers

Carolyn Brill

Carolyn was part of a team that rolled out the EHR, Epic, to approximately 350 providers, including 26 specialties. She has done builds for both Epic and Allscripts, and is certified in Allscripts Enterprise. Carolyn's extended experience includes participation in workflow design groups, customization for individual providers, Go-Live support, portal planning teams and working with a technical team to roll out EKG direct to Epic. She has been in charge of configuration and support in the clinics with whom she's worked. Carolyn has also done one-on-one provider training, as well as created training curricula.

Katie Verd, MA, CPHIT

Katie has 11 years of healthcare-related project management and consulting experience, focusing on whole system implementations—front-to-back requirements, design and build, training and implementation of EHR, CRM and Medicare systems—workflow analysis and improvement and change management strategies. All of these are directly connected to her WIREC work. She incorporates systems thinking into all her work.

Helen Stroebel, RN, MPH, CPHIT

Helen is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years in healthcare, having practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as public health. In addition to her experience in clinical practice, she has worked in various capacities effecting changes in healthcare systems to enhance the health of populations. With WIREC, she continues that endeavor, consulting with healthcare providers to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare.
