Julie Sylvester, MPA, appointed to lead public- and private-sector programs
Seattle, WA - Julie Sylvester, MPA, has been appointed Vice President for Quality and Safety Initiatives at Qualis Health, one of the nation's leading healthcare consulting organizations. Ms. Sylvester's scope of responsibility includes strategic and operational leadership of public- and private-sector programs dedicated to improving healthcare quality and safety. These programs include Qualis Health's activities as the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Idaho and Washington, the Washington & Idaho Regional Extension Center for Health Information Technology (WIREC), and numerous grants and contracts to help primary care clinics across the country become high performing patient-centered medical homes.

Ms. Sylvester comes to Qualis Health with 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. At Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, she held healthcare administration positions in both financial and clinical operations, including serving as Administrative Director of Analytics and Finance and Director of Contracting and overseeing the Heart and Cancer Institutes.
Ms. Sylvester holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arizona and a Master of Public Administration and Policy Analysis from Arizona State University.
