Qualis Health Presents the Alaska 2016 Annual Behavioral Health Provider Education Conference

Conference focuses on care coordination strategies unique to Alaskan culture, April 26 through 28
Anchorage, AK – Qualis Health, a national leader in improving care delivery and patient outcomes, is presenting the Alaska 2016 Annual Behavioral Health Provider Education Conference, Integrating and Navigating Care For Alaskans, on April 26 through 28, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The event is held in partnership with the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services.
The conference draws a diverse group of healthcare providers from across the country that serve Alaska's Medicaid beneficiaries with behavioral health needs. The professionals attending the conference will learn behavioral health initiatives underway in the State of Alaska, with a focus on care coordination and discharge planning strategies appropriate to Alaska's unique and diverse cultural considerations. Day One features presentations about the state's behavioral health resources, Day Two guides participants on how to individualize services and transitions, and Day Three focuses on providing culturally appropriate care, with special sessions on the importance of drumming, dance and storytelling.

The conference is facilitated by the local healthcare professionals of Qualis Health's Anchorage office, who provide care coordination and care review for the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services Division of Behavioral Health.
