Two nursing homes earn “Diamond” Quality Gems in the Nursing Home Quality Improvement Collaborative

Qualis Health recognizes Washington State nursing homes that improve the lives of residents
SEATTLE — Issaquah Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (Issaquah, Wash.) and Sunshine Health and Rehab (Spokane Valley, Wash.) both recently earned a “Diamond,” the top level of Qualis Health’s Quality Gem program. They are the first long-term care facilities in the state to have reached this level.
The award recognizes facilities that have:
- Met all the goals of a statewide Collaborative focused on patient safety and the quality of care
- Shared lessons learned and practical change ideas with other nursing homes located in Idaho and Washington
- Achieved high performance ratings on national quality metrics
“Both teams worked hard to reach the Diamond level, and we are pleased to recognize their outstanding performance,” Jeff West, M.P.H., R.N., Quality Improvement Principal at Qualis Health, said. “Their persistent focus on quality improvement and wholehearted participation in the Collaborative makes a substantial difference for those they serve.”
